Scott was raised in De Pere, the son of Allen "Otch" Baeten and the late Janice (Kamps) Baeten. Scott is the youngest of five.
Scott was a 1984 graduate of St. Boniface Grade School and a 1988 graduate of West De Pere High School. In 1992 he graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, Illinois. On September 25, 1992, Scott married the former Carrie Micke at St. Joseph Catholic Church in De Pere. Scott and Carrie reside in the Town of Lawrence.
Scott and Carrie have three children. Kassie is married to Evan Jesse. Kassie teaches kindergarten at Our Lady of Lourdes School, and Evan works for Hein Construction. They are expecting their first child in August. Caleb is serving his Funeral Directing apprenticeship at Ryan Funeral Home while attending Mortuary School through Des Moines Area Community College. Seth is serving his Funeral Directing apprenticeship here at Ryan's and is also studying through Des Moines.
Currently Scott is a 3rd Degree member of Abbot Pennings Council 3955 of the Knights of Columbus, in De Pere, a member of Assembly 1724 of the 4th Degree Honor Guard, a member of the St. Norbert Abbey Associates, West De Pere Snow Owls, Way-Morr Lions Club, Moose Lodge 801, Green Bay, and Board member of the De Pere Historical Society. He is also a member of Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association, Wisconsin Funeral Service Alliance, a Past President of the Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Association, and a CANA Certified Crematory Operator.
Scott's wife Carrie is a partner at ISC (Insurance Service Center) in De Pere. Scott and Carrie are members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in De Pere, where Scott served as President of the Pastoral Council and School Board member. Currently, he serves as an usher and a sacristan. In his free time, Scott enjoys reading and hanging out with family and friends.

Emmalee has returned to Ryan Funeral Home after spending three years in Texas. She served her apprenticeship with Ryan in 2018 and graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science the following year.
Emmalee lives in Luxemburg, where her family owns and operates Alpaca to Apparel. She is a member of St. Joseph/St. John Church in Pilsen and enjoys spending time in Door County.

Rebekah started her apprentinceship at Ryan Funeral Home in January of 2020. She is from New Franken and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2019.
She earned her Mortuary Science Degree from De Moines Area Community College in October of 2022 and became a licensed funeral director in January of 2023.
Rebekah married Mason Degeneffe in January of 2026 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Allouez, where they are both members.
They currently live in Bellevue with their two cats, Buddy and Tommy.

Dominic joined the Ryan Funeral Home staff in fall of 2021. The son of John and Julie (Braun) Maino, he graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2016 and St. Norbert College in 2020, summa cum laude.
During his time at St. Norbert, Dominic worked for two of De Pere's most historic businesses, Seroogy's Chocolates and The Union Hotel. Upon graduating with a degree in Sociology, he spent time in hospitality with the Kohler Company before beginning his apprenticeship at Ryan.

Seth joined the staff of Ryan Funeral Home in April 2024. He is the youngest son of Scott and Carrie Baeten. Seth graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2021 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing golf.

Bridget is Ryan Funeral Home's Certified Preplanning Specialist and licensed insurance agent with the State of Wisconsin, specializing in funeral trusts and life insurance. With over 20 years of experience, her focus is making sure families are well informed and comfortable with their decisions.
Bridget lives in De Pere and is very active in the community. Growing up in a large Irish Catholic family in Askeaton, family is always her first priority… and a good whiskey old fashioned. Bridget is very proud to have been raised with a strong work ethic and grateful to be providing this service to the community.

Abby grew up and graduated from West De Pere High School. For over ten years, she worked in the office at The Church of the Holy Apostles in Oneida.
She joined Ryan Funeral Home in July of 2020 and currently lives in De Pere with her children.
