Viola Rose "Vi" Shroeder, 96, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, July 27, 2024. The daughter of John P. and Cecilia (Hassemer) Meyer was born in Manitowoc County on June 27, 1928.

On October 9, 1948, Viola married Gerald "Jerry" Schroeder. Together, they had five children and lived on their farm near Greenleaf, WI for 69 years.

Viola is survived by her children, Kathleen (Michael) Van Susteren, Richard (Rita) Schroeder, Edward (Theresa) Schroeder, and Mary Jo (David) Jetton. She is further survived by her daughter-in-law, Millie Schroeder; sister, Florence Wellner; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents, John and Cecilia; son, Robert; granddaughter, Abbey Schroeder-Ware; all of her other siblings and in-laws; and many members of her extended family.

Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish– St. Paul's Wrightstown Campus, 437 Main Street, Wrightstown, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery.
