Obituary

Sylvia Marie Eichhorst, 94, went to her heavenly home on October 20, 2021. Mom is now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on December 28, 1926, to the late William and Emma (Radtke) Siebert. Mom was baptized and confirmed in her faith at Zion Lutheran, Wayside. She was a child of God. On September 23, 1944, she married Alfred Eichhorst, they were blest with 9 children. He preceded her to Heaven on February 13, 2000. Mom was always putting others first. Everyone was always welcome at her home which was filled with unconditional love. It was always a gathering place for family and friends. Sylvia's faith was strong, and she instilled that in her children. Mom loved to hold little ones and sing "Jesus Loves Me" to them. They were her Sweetie pies! Her family meant everything to her. Mom gave the best hugs, and she had the most beautiful smile. Sylvia is survived by her children and their families; Barbara (Jerry) Klug, Linda (Charles) Skenandore, Beverly (Nick) Beno, Susan (Milford Jr.) Roehrborn, Michael (Hollie) Eichhorst, James (Sheryl) Eichhorst, John (Barbara) Eichhorst, Ronald (Connie) Eichhorst, Michelle Devroy. Her two sons who welcomed mom to heaven, Frederick (1950), and Kenneth (1970). Her 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 2 sisters-in-law, Eunice Siebert, and Verona Eichhorst further survive. Preceding Sylvia in death were her parents, her loving husband Alfred, two infant sons, an infant granddaughter, and her brothers: Herbert, Meinhard, and Gilbert. Friends may visit after 12:00PM on Thursday, October 28th, at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison, until time of Service at 3:00PM with Pastor Kevin Klug and Pastor Randy Ott officiating. Please go to www.nickelfh.com to send online condolences. Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorials to Morrison Zion Lutheran Church or School. The family gives thanks to God for the many years we had with our precious mother. Special thanks to Pastors Ott and Enderle for their prayers and visits. Also, to Aurora at Home Hospice staff, especially Jayne, Pam and Stacie for their love and support which allowed mom to stay at home with family. Our eternal gratefulness to Linda and Chuck who so lovingly opened their home for mom to live. We love you mom, our hearts are broken, but we will see you in heaven. Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterwards you will take me into glory. Psalm 73:23-24
