Robert "Bob" John
Fritsch
March 26, 1949 – November 25, 2022
Robert "Bob" Fritsch, 73, Greenleaf, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born March 26, 1949 to the late Victor and Anna Fritsch in Greenleaf. Bob graduated from Wrightstown High School. He served in the United States Army. Stationed in Germany, from 1969 – 1971, as a Sergeant E5. Bob was proud of his time in the military.
On May 25, 1974 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Gruber at St. John Catholic Church, Hilbert.
Bob was a self-employed cabinet maker for 50 plus years. He was a longtime member of the Way-Morr Lions Club, VFW of Wrightstown, and for 19 years he was a woodworking leader in the Morrison 4H. Bob, not one to sit still, enjoyed bowling, softball, gardening, fishing, and building wood projects with his grandsons. He also knew how to graph apple trees and other fruit trees. As an active member of the Lions Club, where he enjoyed giving back to the community. Whether the Children's Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Fundraiser, driving the golf cart at Music in the Park, or delivering deer hides, Bob was there to volunteer. Above all it was the time spent with his grandchildren and other family and friends, usually with a good game of Cribbage, Hand & Foot or Sheepshead, is what he looked forward to the most.
Bob is survived by his wife Marjorie, their children; Sarah (Daniel) Vercauteren, Ryan (Amber) Fritsch, and Kimberly (Shane McLoughlin) Fritsch. His Grandchildren; Darren Vercauteren, Jayden Vercauteren, Branden Vercauteren, Natalie Fritsch, Ethan Fritsch, and Laney McLoughlin. Bob's siblings; William (Carol) Fritsch, Mary (Duane) Petersen, Richard (Mary) Fritsch, Paul (Sue) Fritsch, Sandie (Lyle) Kerrigan, Larry Fritsch, Daniel (Connie) Fritsch, Joseph (Denice) Fritsch, Peggy Fritsch, Thomas (Kathleen) Fritsch, David (Tammy) Fritsch, as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Anna, brother Michael Fritsch, and in-laws Roland and Etta Gruber.
Friends may call on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 4 – 7 pm at St. Clare Catholic Church – Greenleaf site, with a parish prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will take place after 9:00AM on Tuesday at the church until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Full military honors to follow. Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison is assisting the family.
