Esther Clara Minnie Lemke (nee Borchardt) 88, of Morrison, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021. She was born October 6, 1932 to the late Rudolph and Hilda Borchardt. On April 25, 1959, she married Theodore H. Lemke at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside. Esther and Ted were dairy farmers. In addition to working on the farm, Esther enjoyed caring for her family. She enjoyed quilting and was especially proud of the many baby blankets she lovingly made for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and others. She was a long time member of the choir and Ladies Aid at Zion, Morrison and enjoyed volunteering at Repeat Performance thrift store. Esther also enjoyed doing daily crossword puzzles, playing cards with friends and family, and reading. Esther is survived by her children, Dennis (Fabia) of Florida, Lloyd (Lori) of Morrison, Ted (Julie) of Saukville, and daughter-in-law Dawn Root of Lake Orion, MI; her grandchildren, Erin (Jeremy) Wittig of Morrison, Kim (Jon) Bare of Mequon; Lucian and Alexander Lemke of Michigan, and Danielle and Dana Lemke of Saukville. She is further survived by her great grandchildren Naomi, Seth, Jonah, and Audra Wittig; Josiah and Elina Bare and by her sisters-in-law Alberta Borchardt, Dorothy Zenke and Carol Borchardt as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore H. Lemke and son Frederick Lemke; parents Rudolph and Hilda Borchardt; stepmother Malinda Koch Borchardt; brothers Gilbert (Verna) Borchardt, Wilbert (Doris, Caroline) Borchardt, Norbert (Jeanette) Borchardt, Melvin Borchardt, Edward Borchardt, Marvin (Elaine) Borchardt and Meinhard Borchardt; sisters Lorina (Melvin Hahn, Sylvester Fels), Luella (Donald) Miller and sister Bernadine (Lester) Lemke. Friends and family may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison with the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Ott officiating.
