Obituary

Elvera (Jahnke) Zeamer, age 89, died on February 26, 2022. She was born in Bryant, Wisconsin, to the late Ernest and Elsie (Hartman) Jahnke on July 1, 1932. She married Vernon Zeamer on May 28, 1955, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2016. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school, member of Women of Hope,and service on the Altar Guild. She also volunteered at the De Pere Christian Outreach Food Pantry. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Gene) Roohr, Roger (Judy), Joan (Rick) Stenklyft, Dan (Tina), and Lisa (Ben) Rosenbaum, her grandchildren, Jenny (Scott) Peters, Amanda, Nicholas, and Katelyn Zeamer; great-grandson, Blake Peters, step-grandson, Nick Barnette, sisters-in-law, Judy Jahnke, Adaline (Aggie) Blauert, Lois Zeamer and Ruth Zeamer; godchildren, Norma Drumm, Diane Anderson, and Jerry Zeamer, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon, grandchildren, Casey Rosenbaum, and baby Zeamer, her siblings, Clara (Willard) Nohr, Norman (Dolores) Jahnke, Ernest (Delores) Jahnke, Donald Jahnke, brother and sisters in laws, Myron & Hildegard Zeamer, Ervin Zeamer, Ruth & Hubert Maertz, Helmer Zeamer, Melvin Zeamer, Victor Blauert, mother and father in law, George & Viola Zeamer, special cousin, Lorraine Parsons, niece, Betty Daul, and nephew, Paul Jahnke. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 700 S. Superior Street, De Pere, Wisconsin. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 9:00 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matt Baye officiating. Entombment at Shire of Good Shepherd Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. A special thank you to Pastor Matt Baye and the nurses and staff at Unity Hospice. Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, is assisting the family.
