Obituary

Donald E. Ossmann of Shirley went to his heavenly home on October 5, 2024, with his loving family by his side, due to injuries sustained in an accident. He was born on June 1, 1949, to Emerald and Luella (Zeamer) Ossmann. Raised in a Christian household, Don attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Shirley, where he remained a devoted member throughout his life. He completed his education at Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and graduated from De Pere High School.

On April 17, 1971, Don married Joyce Klug, and together they built a life filled with love and hard work. Over the years, he held various jobs, but ultimately devoted himself to working full-time on the family farm, Emerald Acres, where he continued to work until his hospitalization. Don loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and school activities, always managing to finish chores a little early to support them!

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce, three sons, and eight grandchildren: Shannon and his children Matthew, Emily, and Melissa; Scott (Abbey) and their children Brandon (special friend, Lauren), Alexis (special friend, Alec), and Aerilyn; and Jason (Julie) and their children Jordyn (special friend, Mitchell) and Justin. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted (Lana) and Paul (Deb), as well as brother-in-law Tom Robinson. Additionally, he leaves behind Joyce's family; Judy Wicker, Nancy Micke, Myra (Ken) Jahnke, Steve (Cork) Klug, Ronald Malach, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Ida Robinson, brothers-in-law Paul Wicker and Dick Micke, sisters-in-law Laurie Krueger, Lola Malach, and in-laws Rufus and Gertrude Klug.

Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shirley from 4:00PM – 7:00PM Friday, October 11, 2024. A prayer service will begin at 7:00PM to bring the evening to a close.
